Dead Dead Dead
January 31, 2001
It’s official. After much speculation, the Dreamcast is dead. Sega is stopping production on the hardware to concentrate on delivering games to other platforms (Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo included).
It’s a sad day, but if it helps Sega survive as a game company then it’s a good thing.
The DC is also dropping it’s price to $99, so anyone that kind of had an inkling for it should pick one up. I’ve definitely gotten my money’s worth on the console, playing it far more than any of my other machines (including my PC).
So, should I get a Gamecube, PS2 or X-Box? Decisions, decisions.
