I ended up going straight through the night, so I’ve been tired for a few days now.

I finally decided to get into the instant messenger thing going. I’ve been on ICQ for a while, and I’ve never moved to Yahoo or AOL because it just seemed like such a pain to have all these instant messenger programs going at once.

Enter Imici. Imici lets you do the IM thing on all the services with one program, which sounded very appealing. I bit the bullet and signed up to all the services and used Imici to link it all up. It’s a very barebones interface, but it does the job very well, with a small memory footprint.

Odigo does the same thing, but I really couldn’t get it to work correctly. Also, the plug-ins seem purposely difficult to encourage people to use their Odigo accounts more than the other accounts.
