I Need More REM

I’m about a full month away from the new R.E.M. record, “Reveal.” Little bits have started popping up around the web, and the video for the 1st single, “Imitation of Life” has already been released.

R.E.M.’s been my favorite band since as far as I can remember. The new songs excite me greatly, with their nice thick layered sound and Michael Stipe’s more upfront vocals. I can’t wait for the album to be released, but I get the sense that R.E.M. is far too intelligent and beautiful for today’s youth. I cry for those who find salvation in NuMetal and the like. Sad, really.
