Ladykillers

I’ve always liked the Coen Brothers, but I’m not sure where they’re coming from with “Ladykillers”. It’s supposed to be a dark comedy, but it’s not really that funny, and for most of the film it’s not actually that dark. It’s fun to see the actors come over the top and chew some some scenery, but it wears thin quickly and the film really goes on and on for quite a while. It’s a decent way to kill an afternoon but I wouldn’t go out of my way to see it.
