After five years, she hath forsaken me.
My TiVo remote is broken.
Fresh batteries, no blinky red light, no nothing. Replacement remotes are not something you can pick up at just any store unfortunately, which means I will be without TiVo for like a week. I dunno if I can handle watching television like some kind of plebe. GRAAAAAAH.
Let me reiterate: It is 4AM and I have no TiVo. Can you even imagine the desolation of the tv landscape at this time of night? Wait, is there really a show called Foody Call? Holy fuck.

This happened to a friend of mine a couple years ago. The big black boxes are useless without the remote he found, and he was sans tivo for two full weeks.
I have an extra remote in case this ever happens (the tivo store sells them) and you can also hack in a control panel from a satellite tivo if you’re really in a pinch.

I got my second remote free from tivo, if you’re really having withdrawls, email me your address and I’ll fedex it tomorrow (I am making a fedex run for other things and it would be no big deal)

My remote’s already shipped and it should be here early next week, so I think I’ll live. Thankfully it’s still summer rerun season, and my Tivo’s programmed up to pick up everything I want for now, so i shant be left wanting.
This is actually still the same TiVo I won way back in the day when you IMed me about it from Blogger HQ. I haven’t even hacked it yet!
